Here we will provide resources and guides for those meeting to worship on Sunday, February 6, 2022. This Sunday we worship a 10 am in the large worship space and our Basic English Service meets at 10 am in room 5. Check back soon for more info related to worship at Church of the Servant.

During the 10 am service in the large sanctuary, we have the privilege of premiering the winners of this year’s New Psalm Contest:

First Place goes to “A Refuge of the Weary Saints” (Psalm 46)

written by Elise Massa (lyrics adapted from Isaac Watts).

Second Place goes to “Come and See what God Has Done” (Psalm 66)

written by Seth Koerner.

Following the morning services, we also invite you to join us for a Zoom presentation: Understanding Church Overtures and Denominational Processes. As COS continues to participate in listening circles concerning the CRCNA Human Sexuality Report, several questions have emerged around the administrative specifics of church order in our denomination. To help make sense of things, the HSR task force has invited Bob Arbogast, Pastor of Celebration Fellowship CRC and Stated Clerk for Classis Grand Rapids East, to answer some of our questions about Synod. This Zoom presentation will take place at 11:45 am on February 6. We hope you’ll join as together we seek to understand better what happens between now and Synod and what, if any, role that individuals and church councils can play during that time. Learn more about our Adult-ed series: God’s People Seeking (GPS).

If you would like to join one of our indoor worship services, please sign up using Eventbrite.

You are also welcome to participate in worship via Zoom at 10 am this Sunday. Please subscribe to our Email Newsletter list prior to Sunday to receive the Zoom link in your inbox each week.
