The Wednesday Book Group begins this week as a part of our Wednesday night programming. Our October book is entitled Dare We Speak of Hope. It was written by Allan Boesak, (formerly from South Africa, now in the US.) who has been a guest preacher at COS and is a friend of Nick Wolterstorff. Nick will introduce this book on October 5, which deals with the timely issue of justice.
In November, we will read a classic, The Grapes of Wrath, which reminds us of our deep sense of concern regarding refugees and the poor, especially during this election month. In December we will discuss poetry, smaller Advent and Christmas books/readings that will encourage leaders and listeners to experience both the joy and sadness of the holidays. We meet the 1st three Wednesdays of the month
