The Facility Team has approved a plan for Plaster Creek Stewards to maintain the two native gardens and plant a new native rain garden at the western street entrance. They have scheduled the installation for Wednesday, July 6 from 3-7 pm. A Pizza dinner will be provided starting at 5 pm followed by an opportunity to learn more about the Plaster Creek Stewards’ work to restore one of the major watershed tributaries to the Grand River. This will be a great opportunity for individuals and families to come get some hand-on education in being good stewards of God’s creation.
We would also like to identify someone within the congregation who is willing to be a “swalekeeper” (who will collaborate with Plaster Creek Stewards on the maintenance of the plantings so that they can fulfill their purpose). If you know you’ll be able to make it, please email Tony Westrate at twestrate23@gmail.com so he can figure out how much pizza to order. Come join us!
